Session Notes - May 13th

Remember that Insider Sessions is covered by NDA which prohibits the recording/capturing/sharing of XDefiant visually. Insider Sessions is in-progress content that we are still working on.

Overview

Hello everyone, its time for our weekly notes! Want to give a continued thank you to all those who are joining each week and giving feedback- its invaluable for the team to work on. With this week, we will have a focus on Time to Kill (TTK). More information below!

We also will have no Insider Session next week. Which means there will not be an Insider Session on 5/20, and we will comeback with Insider Session on 5/27.

For the May 27th session there will be some changes to the game, including potentially a very helpful faction.

Feedback

As many as you know we take in all the feedback we can from our surveys, Discord, Reddit, Twitter, Discussions, and more. All of these comments are looked at as we see how we can build the game to be the best experience possible. Based on that, we will have some more news on important feedback topics the week of 5/27. For a quick teaser- we have heard you on the frustration of the Echelon ultimate and will be making some changes to it later down the road.

Patch Notes

UI/Loadout

  • Characters are now visible again in the faction selection screen

This Week

This week features:

  • Game Modes: Occupy, Domination, Zone Control

  • Maps: Showtime, Emporium, Nudleplex, Zoo, Meltdown

This Week’s Focus

  • Focus: Time-to-kill (TTK)

We understand that TTK is an important topic and one that may be hard to assess without a healing faction. To be clear, we absolutely want the feedback on TTK without a healer faction, and then once the healing faction is introduced, we would like to reexamine TTK to evaluate any changes.

As you are playing this week, try to think about how the overall TTK feels – does it feel right, challenging but fun, or just frustrating? Please keep in mind when thinking about and giving feedback what weapon you are using. Are there weapons or situations that specifically make TTK feel great or terrible?
