Session Notes – August 26th

Remember that Insider Sessions is covered by NDA which prohibits the recording/capturing/sharing of XDefiant visually. Insider Sessions is in-progress content that we are still working on.

Overview

Insider Sessions is back this week and with updates! A full list of detailed notes can be found below but we have ability cooldown changes, weapon changes, attachment changes, and more. This week’s focus is on ability cooldown again as we now have updated cooldowns based on last week’s feedback.

This Week

This week features:

  • Game Modes: Domination, Occupy, Escort

  • Maps: Arena, Nudleplex, Mayday, Daytona, Times Square

This Week’s Focus

  • Focus: Abilities (Cooldown) – This week we are taking another look at the abilities and how the cooldowns feel to everyone. How do they feel compared to last week? Does the change make it more, or less, enjoyable? Do all the factions seems equal when it comes to ability cooldown?

  • NEW Libertad ability – El Fumigador – This deployable has an AOE effect that heals allies and damages foes. *Note that this is hackable for DedSec.

Weapons

  • All - Hit Flinch

  • Increased minimum for all weapons to 15%

  • Increased maximum for snipers to 35-40%

    • Reduced ADS from 300ms to 267ms

    • Reduced Sprint Shoot from 300ms to 267ms

Misc.

  • UI screens now have new branding

    • Menu screen and hero character presentation

    • New typography

  • Placeholder music introduced into matches

  • “Migrating Servers” now reads “Creating match” to better describe the game state

Bug Fixes

  • Made improvements to an issue causing FPS drop if the Purifier Ultra is being used

  • Resolved an issue where sometimes after respawning weapons would have no extra ammo clips

  • Resolved an issue where sprint sound and movement speed are out of sync when sprinting and ADSing.
